NOVÍSSIMO EDGAR
NOVÍSSIMO EDGAR is a creative force of immaterial and material content, a Brazilian visual artist who works with recycled materials and waste from the fashion industry. He was commissioned by Puma for many fashion shows, breaking the standard of aesthetics established by these events, putting fat bodies, dwarfs, and jailed people to compose the cast of models.
He was also responsible for sewing and costume design workshops at Red Bull Station and SESC Guarulhos. Recently EDGAR was invited by the Moreira Salles Institute to deliver a short film produced during his quarantine period in Brazil.
In 2020 he was invited by the São Paulo Fashion Week to produce a fashion film about black consciousness.
March 2021 he participated in the group exhibition of Latin American artists "EN OTRO PODER" in Paris and integrated the project "Dreaming the cities" sponsored by the British Council, an online artistic residence between artists from Brazil and Pakistan
NOVÍSSIMO EDGAR is internationally known for his audiovisual work and festival presentations. His latest album releases are Ultrassom (2018) and Ultraleve (2021).
