Dismantling digital and analog absolutisms
“X%” is an exhibition that brings together seven artists whose practices strain the boundaries between the analog and the digital, rejecting the idea of technical, formal, or ontological purity. Rather than seeking rigid categorizations, the works operate in hybrid zones where manual gestures and algorithms, noise and code, materiality and virtuality coexist in a contaminated and inseparable way.

The exhibition marks the beginning of a new chapter for the gallery zardoz.club, which is now expanding its activities beyond the digital realm. With this shift, the gallery reaffirms its alignment with the most pressing debates in contemporary art: in a post-digital context, there is no room for absolute dichotomies. No work is “100% analog” or “100% digital,” as much of today’s artistic production is shaped by computational, affective, and material mediations.
“X%” proposes a critical reflection on the binaries that still structure parts of the artistic and technological imaginary, such as “natural versus artificial” or “human versus machine.” Instead, the exhibition offers a speculative field where these oppositions collapse, making room for practices that embrace the complexity and zones of indeterminacy within contemporary visual culture.
